During 2026 I’ve been spending more time meeting with Voice AI startups.
The meetings usually follow a familiar path. I’m walked through what they’ve built. As I learn more about their product, I ask about their experiences with network latency, voice quality, and their specific customer use cases.
That’s usually where I interrupt.
I ask a simple question.
“Have you heard of vCon?”
Most of the time, the answer is no.
That’s when the pitch stops.
I explain what vCon is and, before I can say anything else, the person I’m speaking with starts telling me why it matters to their product or platform.
The conversation quickly shifts to questions about how conversations are stored. Those building for regulated markets want to understand how compliance fits in.
This is just another sign the vCon market will grow into something big, bigger than many people realize.
Having the ability to share conversations across applications, systems, companies, and people will change workflow. Eventually, it will change how we communicate.
